Price Transparency and cost savings!

Cost savings on office-based Primary Care procedures
Cost saving opportunities for laboratory Services

Cost saving opportunities for Imaging Services
Cost saving opportunities on prescription medications

From Dr. McGann:
"One of the big problems in Healthcare today is the lack of price transparency.  What does this cost? I want to know up front!  Why do we always get big bills after the fact?  Was this good value for money? Can I get better value somewhere else? My deductible is very high, so I'm paying for this: How do I know my insurance is getting me a good price? Do they even care? Personally, I've always been frustrated by this."

Direct Primary Care has price transparency.  It also has your Physician negotiating for you for better prices and better value.  There are many instances in Primary Care where not using insurance for lab work, imaging, and medications is cheaper than using it.  It is also helpful to know that throughout the lifespan about 85% of your healthcare needs can be considered Primary Care.  in DPC the costs for this care is not expensive.

One reliable resource to check on the costs of all things medical is the website Fair Health Consumer.
